Our story
CBM machines offers a complete range of flexible and customised solutions for processing sheet metal.
CBM machines was founded in 1986 as a commercial company and began its sheet metal processing equipment business in 1988. This is the product of two generations: that of the father, Carlo Alberto Baldi, a mechanical expert with over 35 years of technical and managerial experience behind him, and his son, Massimo, at the time a recent graduate in Mechanical Engineering at the Politecnico di Milano.
This is the story of two entrepreneurs, ready to work hard to create a stable business, by capitalising on Carlo Alberto’s background, experience and knowledge of the market, combined with Massimo’s sound engineering background, youthful enthusiasm and innovative spirit.​
Since its beginnings, the mission of CBM machines has been to maintain a constant evolutionary process that succeeds in integrating tried-and-tested solutions with the use of new, state-of-the-art production methods and processes. This has made it possible to successfully meet the growing demands and needs of the market, and at the same time, of its customers.
The outstanding results achieved have transformed CBM machines into a well-respected and reliable company, which has maintained strong partnerships since it was founded.
Unfortunately, Carlo Alberto passed away in August 2022. His absence is felt every day, but he left behind many lessons to his loved ones, including humility and the utmost dedication to his work. The result of his work and sacrifices is kept alive daily through the perseverance, preparation and ingenuity of Massimo Baldi, who has turned his work into a vocation.
Currently, CBM machines has a diversified workforce, with the gradual entry of new recruits, giving rise to a third and future generation. Even now, more than 35 years after we started our business, our philosophy remains the same: Innovating from experience.
Innovating from Experience
The dynamic nature of CBM machines and its interest in modern technologies and increasing market demands have enabled the company to expand its operations on a national, European and international level, playing an important role in the market for special sheet metal processing lines. To date, our systems operate in over thirty countries worldwide.
We develop projects to ensure a rational production process and we look for highly automated, mechanical solutions that are easy to manage. We seek maximum productivity and flexibility in every system, as well as a high degree of reliability and operating safety.
Our ideas boast a significant reduction in production waste and ensure low maintenance costs while still allowing the system to maintain itself over time.
